Hello Mr Bossman! (and possibly anyone else who reads this)

Its an honour to be here, I have a few questions. First i appologise for the long paragraph, you may dismiss it for the questions at the bottom. For context, i am here after finishing TMA and being up to date with TMAP, i then went over and listened to RQG, and have just finished listening to Epilogue 3 and might i just say, good sir I am grateful for your podcasts. I am currently just a few months away from my final exams of High School, and as someone who even just 1 year ago was very lost, struggling with school and being just overwhelmed. TMA isnt exactly comforting, but the characters and plot managed to serve as a good form of escapism while sorting myself out. I found my self engaging more in creative things that i had originally put aside in favour of maths and science (which i hated but thought i needed to do). I started drawing again, even if just fanart. and i found things going well. By finding podcasts, story telling and these communities have helped me in my own understanding of what i want in life. I got an ADHD diagnosis earlier this year, and almost directly after started RQG and as my first hyperfixation (that i was aware of as an hyperfixation) gosh dang it hit hard. (in a good way). Ive been able to do so much more creative writing and drawings, and got re-involved with a small dnd group with some friends who i played one game with almost 4 years ago now. So overall, inspirational sounds cringe, but it was. Im doing my best with the upcoming exams, but trying to get in to Medicine is not my only prority, and the fact ive been re-introduced to my first love (Literature and story telling), im planning to go do an Arts degree and i know i wouldnt have been able to confidently make this decision, or even have survived this long in the school system without the work you and your coworkers do. Now the sap is out of the way, Question time! (if you could answer even just one of these questions it would be so cool)(they go in order of RQ relevant to random stuff)(dont feel pressured to answer all/any. i know i wrote alot): 1. what would you say is the best way to draft out a long-form story. (with "Erasing the Line" as an example) Did you start at the end, with the links to the overarching plot.

2. When working with the players (in a form of TTRPG), what did you do to make sure you didnt miss relevant timing of plot points/ avoid creating spoilers while still giving enough detail?

3. What are good places to start with making a job out of storytelling/voice acting/audio etc. In the case of RQ, how is this a job and where do i sign up please! /j (what i mean is, how is best way/how did you find all the people involved and was there a common path that you were all on before getting to where you are now?) 4. Do you have recommendations for Terry Pratchett Books, i may be an literary-leaning student, but it seems i have never actually properly read any of his books. so where is best place to start?/What did you read first?

5. Similar authors or similar inspirations? Did you have a favourite podcast you listen to in your free time that you havnt had a hand in producing/directing/working on. 6. Favourite song/album/artist. And more specifically, what you like listening to in background when doing either writing or (for ttrpg) character research/game planing. 7. Since the olympics are on at the moment, what has been your favourite sport to watch, if you have been watching at all. Thank you for your time :)

Thankyou for all the kind words. Knowing our work is helping people really keeps our engines fired up. Let's see if I can't answer your questions: 1. I "sandbox" which is where I just shove everything I can think of into an unorganised bullet point list. Characters, setting, plot, all of it in one big mess. Then I decide what type of story you want to tell, copy and paste to a new document and then start to organise the thoughts (with the sandbox on standby if new stuff comes in I don't know what to do with). I think of it like scultping, you cut away bits and reshape until something comes out the other end that is story shaped. Only then do I attempt to build the sandcastle and put something coherant together like a synopsis or scratch draft etc.

2. Very tricky. I did a complete review and update of all notes after each recording session and don't forget the audio eas edited. I made lots of gaffs that you never heard as audience.

3. I contacted anyone I could convince to take part and just proved I was serious by overworking. I don't reccomend that route. Unfortunately it really is "who" you know. That doesn't mean chase established professionals as much as it means you need to get out there and associate with other up-and-comers who match your vibe. For me the route was long and windy and not a particularly good example. 4. I normally recommend people do not read his books in publication order. Don't get me wrong, its wonderful watching his craft grow from one title to the next but I would recommend new readers tip their toe into his later works to see if they like where he ended up before committing the time. I often recommend 'Monstrous Regiment' as people's first one. My favourite though is 'Thief of Time.'

5. I don't get much time to listen to podcasts in the last couple of years. I used to listen to a lot of non fiction. 'Stuff you Should Know' and that ilk. I also read a fair amount of classic YA fiction to unwind (Windinsger trilogy, Bartimeous, stuff like that.) 6. Paul Simon's Graceland but when working I assemble a playlist for each seperate project that is tonally appropriate. If I really need to focus I listen to Classical Minimalism. Or the Old School Runescape soundtrack. I'm allowed to be ecclectic. 7. I am actually in an incredibly busy work crunch at the moment so haven't seen any of it!

hi sorry I haven't gotten around to your ask yet I'm working on it, BUT I'm tossing the favorite SWTOR oc question back your way (and also whether they're following canon or doing their own thing).

I'd also love to know if you have any particular bothan headcanons you like a lot.

Hi hi!! Don't worry at all, please take your time with your response! We're all here for fun and interactions, not pressure, right? And thankyou for asking!!!

Now, part one is easy, haha. Ahuska is hands down my number one best favourite SWTOR OC, even if she appears somewhat differently in game than in my imagination. She's my main toon, the only one actually up to speed with game content, the only one with passable gear, lots of fun pets and mounts and outfits, and is currently working on polishing up her Mojo Dojo Copero Dream House.

(I absolutely need to draw her as her proper bothan self in this outfit!)

BUT, where she matters to me even more than that is in her story/RP, and here things diverge... quite a lot, hahaha. Very very originally she was just a toon that I made to PVP alongside my husband with (I actually did think of her as a bothan right from the start), but when I found myself hungry for RP I fleshed her out a little to join a RP guild in game which is where her life really started (particularly owing to @koboldgirl and the exceptional times we've had writing together). The group's premise was a Mandalorian clan rebuilding itself after all the Zakuul business, but despite that vague timeframe her story never really touched on swtor events or canon characters (the toon is an Imperial Agent but she is not REMOTELY an Agent, even as much as I love the IA storyline). Over time I made a bunch of wonderful friends in the swtor community and Ahuska's story has intercepted a few others here and there, and from that perspective keeping the timeline vague/unimportant and away from key canon characters/moments has really helped with being able to have her interact with others without contradicting their own things they have going on. I think engaging with other characters/writers is what motivates me more than anything and I get a tonne of joy in seeing/considering/plotting how they might interact!

Now, Ahuska also took a deep dive into an AU with @askshivanulegacy that started as a halloween drabble challenge and has somehow become literal years of very intense worldbuilding and fiction and words can't describe how much I love this story, hahaha. It's still very much Ahuska, and very much swtor, it's just... swtor if the Empire managed to perfect a weird-science-sith-alchemy-intelligence-conditioning combo to create a very star-warsy version of werewolves (and were-any-other-critter). The first generation were designed to be secret soldiers/weapons, but the project failed and Ahuska is the sole survivor, going on a wonderful journey of self liberation and learning what truly makes a monster. The second generation (and all subsequent) came from Intel refining the technology and utilising it as an extra toolset for the most elite of elite Cipher agents, which is where almost all the rest of the cast comes from. Naturally there's a lot of divergence from canon here by the very nature of things, but funnily we also lean on a lot more canon swtor story beats, particularly when we look ahead to the KotFE and beyond time period.

I have so much love for every iteration of Ahuska, honestly, and I know I've mentioned it here and there but she really truly did play a huge role in pulling me out of a pretty grim place, not only helping me rediscover a lot of creativity but also helping to restore my trust and faith in people in general. She's led me to people who are now my absolute dearest friends, which in turn has taken me quite literally, physically across this humble planet we live on. I genuinely believe sharing stories is a massive part of what makes us human and I get very sentimental when I consider what a significant place this silly little bothan holds in my heart <3

Hello hello!! Hope you are doing well!!

I was recommended to come here to see if you could help me find a fic!! So please if you can, I'm looking for an Otayuri fic on ao3, I know theres a bit of an age gap, and it starts with JJ bringing Otabek to his favourite tattoo studio which is where Yuri works (other characters work there too but I cant remember which)

The most specific thing I can remember (plus the reason I'm asking lol) is that Otabeks family lived on a farm and had horses, one of which was called Ted who was a pretty slow old horse that Yuri ends up riding at some point!! I fell inlove with the derpy horse and it's the reason that fic is one of my favourites, but completely forgot to bookmark the fic and it's been a little over a year since I've read stuff for this fandom. So please any help is welcome and if you cant find it that's okay!!

I also think they get married at the end along the beach if that helps??

Ikkei Yamamoto Range Analysis

I'm back with another installment of this absolute rabbithole, this time focusing on Ikkei. Now, noone's made any massive claims about the range of his vocals yet, so let's figure this out before anyone does, shall we?

The Verdict

Based on what we've seen through various stages and musicals, Ikkei has a range of C3-Ab4, roughly one and a half octaves. The upper end is more rarely heard though, with most of his songs landing at a high of F#4-G4.

The Evidence

Again, I used every possible musical I had featuring the man to analyse this, and as such there's a large concentration of Morimyu, as well as his Tenimyu run as part of the 7th Seigaku. It was a little interesting, as many of his songs in Tenimyu are group songs, so I didn't have all that many to go off there. I also had a copy of ENStars Track to Miracle, which I didn't realise until looking it up that he was in. The more you know. Instead of looking for an upper or lower in specific areas, I simply collected the highest and lowest notes in each song I analysed this time.

Lower Limit (C3)

So, I did start with Tenimyu, but the two I'd narrowed down for him (Unseen Thread and Fight&Win) both seemed on the high end of what I've heard him do, so I focused my efforts towards Morimyu.

This turned out to be a good idea, presenting me with lovely examples of his lower register. The songs were consistently hitting lows of D3 (Emotion and his duet with Fred in OP4) and Eb3 (Devotion and the Three Brothers' Secret), so I knew I was close.

But there was one final solo I wanted to look through, being OP1's A Hero's Qualification. Turned out to be a great idea - Ikkei hits his lowest note in there, at C3. Very impressed. 10/10.

Higher Limit (Ab4)

Okay, this one I was able to use the Tenimyu songs as a guide of how high to look for - Unseen Thread came in at an E4, and Fight&Win at an F#4, both of which aligned with what I had heard from him previously.

This was the point that I figured out his ENStars appearance, and managed to track down at least one of his songs - his first, which I believe was called Heartbeat by Trick Star (starting at 7 minutes in) came in at an F4, supporting my previous theories. Also the silver ponytail guy has me in a chokehold, if anyone cares to educate?

It was then I turned back to Morimyu, which gave us some higher ones. First to exceed it was Devotion (which was first because please let's be honest That's My Favourite), where he hits a G4 as part of his higher harmony at the end.

The next to exceed it was The Three Brothers' Secret, giving us our highest note at Ab4, hit as they commit arson basically ehe. It is beautifully done, and rather strong, and I'm kind of curious as to whether he could go further, given the opportunity. But that's all I have evidence for as yet, so Ab4 is to be considered the highest proven limit of Ikkei's range.

What did surprise me is the sheer similarity between Shogo and Ikkei's possible ranges - Ikkei often seems just that much lower, and he's... not? That being said, he has a very rich lower register, and as he's often paired with people who can take the higher harmony (Eiji in the Tenimyu's, Shogo... always) he gets a lot of chances to show it - I also think Ikkei's lower tone kicks in earlier than Shogo's, though I'd have to check for that specifically to back it up. Was interesting in Kokoro wo Daite, though, because by putting his solo part between Hide and Izawa, he sounds rather high pitched; same thing happened in Devotion, where he took the high harmony against Hide's lower harmony... perception really is everything with this, and I mean, he sounds lovely either way slkdf.

With two of three brothers down, I kind of want to do Kubohide next - again, I'll have a fair bit to draw on between Morimyu and Tenimyu, and I could have sworn I had something else with him in there. We'll see I guess ehe. But thankyou for reading, and see you next time~

Rendering!!!!!!! I always love putting down colours and seeing how they work it's so fun :D especially when I paint over my lineart/sketches -- there's something really fun about defining the shapes and watching the final piece come together :)

Also cuz I use layer effects a lot and I like playing around w them haha

Euhhh. I'd say somewhere along flat colours or the "ugly phase" of shading,,, im vv impatient so when I'm in the ugly phase for too long I always feel like dropping the piece and dying for a bit haha

Flat colours is just boring n finicky to me tho,,, sometimes sketching can become my least favourite esp if it's not working out haha

35: if you had one piece of advice to give your younger artist self, what would it be?

Hmmm...aside from general art advice like anatomy and not focusing only on the shoulders up-- probably would be to take my time! I've always been told I rush things a lot, even w my schoolwork, so I'd probably tell myself to slow down and look closer at the details n everything sometimes

Magi is my absolute favourite anime of all time, i watched it for the first time when i was like 14 and has loved it ever since. It's hella cool to find someone who draws it, i used to have a pinterest board for just magi fanart, your stuff should've totally been on there! Anyways, what are your fave characters and why?

I read that at first with just like a few words in there and I was contemplating if you just said “magi is my abs…” and then I clicked it and I had a sigh of relief

Anyways my favorite character’s are alibaba, Sinbad, drakon and kassim

Sinbad snot my fav as much as he is fun to talk about and stuff cause he has a lot of stuff to talk about but the duo I like is alibaba and Sinbad cause there silly and I like the fact there opposites to one another but also really similar but I mainly like Sinbad cause he’s really complex or can be complex and the stuff I’ve seen of him is really funny so it’s hard not for me to like him

Then alibaba is mt fav cause I’ve loved him forever I have a very big soft spot for sunshines and stuff he’s just a fun character and be actually matured like I’ve never seen a main character actually mature and learn like you can just tell he’s grown and it makes me proud of him wich makes me love him but his personality doesn’t change but I like alibaba cause we are very much alike kinda idk he just makes me happy

I like drakon for a lot of reasons but mainly cause he’s so fun to draw and his character is so over looked but it’s so cool and you could make so much content with him and he doesn’t get enough love like one of my friends on here has made whole things about his charachter and I think we should pay more attention to him he’s a giant dragon what more could you not like

Ive loved kassim for so long as long as alibaba although I never got his charachter wen I was younge I just adored the way he looked he was cool but now that I’ve re watched magi and got back into it his charachter started to make sense I actually picked up a lot of things that crossed over to alibaba before he got his djin and how he influenced people around him and I just find him so fun to talk about and I understand him so much he’s special to me and alibaba kassim duo is so fun it’s like they tease eachother and it’s special

My answers always have something to do with a colour you find on a rainy day, but the kind of green you see when the clouds are grey and everythings damp. That deep green.

Baby corn. It could be by itself or in a curry but baby corn is the best thing ever and always brings me joy.

I have a t-shirt that i got for my birthday years and years ago that i call my 'toothless' shirt because it has toothless from hyttd's eyes on it. I used to wear it almost every day but now its falling apart and i cant bring myself to ever throw it away.

okay so i have this book where i dedicate each page to a different album i like, and draw something for it, and then add all my favourite lyrics, so i'm hoping I'll get that filled up!

2) Rec a book!

oh this one is tough but Battlefield Earth by L. Ron Hubbard - i loved the writing style and it managed to hold my interest through the whole book (which is over 1000 pages long), and the story had so many different elements to it, mixing both prehistoric times with space tech and it was just such a good read.

i'm currently reading IT by Stephen King, and again, the writing style is amazing and it flows very well, so though I haven't finished it, i recommend that as well :)

3) Rec a fic!

this is from the red vs blue fandom and i love it, but be warned, it is Very graphic and violent.

Enough, Enough - h o l y s h i t . this fic is so good and it made me cry so many times and god felix is just evil in it but he's still my fav little guy, and it's just the most heartwrenching, sad, beautiful, ugly and painful thing ive read for this fandom and it's just. amazing. and multi chaptered :)

1) Describe one creative WIP project you’re planning to work on over the summer.

I just finished my first ever novelette “The Dragon Mark,” and I actually really loved being in that world. I am planning on writing a companion piece, “Zhang Jue’s Demon,” and I just want to know more too! Maybe I’ll start writing something from the character Yuxuan’s POV before he’s assassinated. He seems fun to work with. Am I planning a book? I don’t know, but I would love to stay with these characters for the summer.

2) Rec a book!

She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan! It’s great political and war fantasy and with only 411 pages it still somehow seems so jam packed! It’s also queer in its own way. Basically the main character was told her fate was nothing, to truly be nothing. So what does she do? Try to steal her brother’s fate after he dies, and she takes on his name, Zhu Chongba. So publicly, one of the main characters is a man and has roles that a man would have. Another central character is a eunuch general named Ouyang, and I love him. This takes place near the end of the Great Yuan Dynasty (the rule of the Mongols) and the rise of the Ming Dynasty.

But okay if you need a summery book read Son of a Sailor by Marshall J. Moore. Pirate Captain Quint Thatch goes back to his island home of Ember Bay after the death of his father, and is trying to hide his pirate identity from everyone. This doesn’t go very well because his crew eventually shows up, and two parts of his life collide. It’s summery, it’s fun! I didn’t even think it’d be my kind of book and I adored it. The author suggests reading it near a body of water and with a cold drink nearby, and I heartily agree!

3) Rec a fic!

Holy crap, A Thousand Lives is so good. It actually understands the Force and the Jedi! It’s a Star Wars: Rebels AU where Kanan is an Inquisitor hunting down Ezra while he slowly falls in love with Hera. The implication of a thousand versions of them existing that’s put in the epigraphs is truly fantastic. I don’t usually like Star Wars fics because of how many people misunderstand the Jedi but this one was truly amazing. I can’t wait to read it again.

Find something you like and own it, without any shame. If others want to join then good! If people want to be negative about what you enjoy then they’re not worth your time. Your own enjoyment is precious, and when you work towards it you will find moments you like—or even, love—existing in.

ALBEDO FLUFFFFFFFFFFFFF DUDE THIS MAN CAN RUIN ME.(-‿◦)

IF Albedo existed in our universe I just think that he MIGHT be a tattoo artist because first he is an artist and second, this mans LOVES experimenting, it don't matter what he experiments on tbh he just wants nothing but a place to be able to carry out his experiments. He could also be involved with some sketchy people ngl.

YOU would be his favourite lab rat, ofcourse he loves you, he's the type to get obsessed easily but he knows his limits and he doesn't fail to express his love from time to time . Most days you'd probably be chained to his bed while he "experiments" on his baby.

There are days when he randomly wakes you up early in the morning saying, "Its a good day to sketch today, let's head out to Starfell Valley for a picnic." You two would prepare lunch together having a little food fight while you're at it and he'd be pouting the WHOLE TIME BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T PUT ENOUGH SWEETS. Albedo has a sweet tooth I just KNOW and even though your basket is full of sweets like sunsettia jam, chocolates, cakes and what not he still wants more but you're his favourite candy let's not forget that.

You and Albedo would walk all the way to the Valley, jumping around and flying down a hill with your wind gliders and he'd get upset when you threw a rock at a sleeping hilichurl because "they are all important beings and make Teyvat what it is along with humans."

After you guys reached your destination, you'd lay down the valberry printed sheets on the ground and set up the basket. He would sit in the corner with his canvas painting something while you read a book under a tree waiting for lunch time and at times you'd go around the area picking Sweet flowers and just breathing in the fresh air of Monstadt. When Albedo is busy, he hardly talks because he doesn't like distractions so you'd just wait patiently with your book.

Its very hard to get his attention when he's doing something so you had to use the cake as a bait to remind him its time for lunch. Albedo can smell cakes from literally miles away. He'd stop working an join you for lunch talking about your own little things. He'd steal a kiss from you because of cute you look with cake in your mouth, He'd say, "my favourite candy eating my favourite cake is my new favourite view to look at." He's good with words, he's extremely sweet and would speak all the things you wanna hear usually only when you guys are alone because he gets embarrassed when people are around but he would still Whisper lovely things when No one's watching.

When it's time to go home, you'd pack up your things but Albedo still didn't show you his painting because he thought it didn't turn out the best. You'd still pester him to show you though giving him your puppy eyes that he absolutely can't resist and he had no other choice but to give in. You'd giggle in a evil way and he'd just shake his head at you. Albedo showed you his painting and OMG WERE YOU SURPRISED!! It was a painting of you sitting under the trea reading the book. It was BEAUTIFUL! the valberry printed sheet you were sitting on, the picnic basket and you yourself looked so beautiful as if you were meant to be captured that way.

"ITS BEAUTIFUL BEDO IT LOOKS LOVELY THANKYOU SO MUCH!!!" you squealed as you threw you hands around his neck giving him a kiss. He looked away shyly, "Well I don't think its that good I feel like I failed to capture your beauty, Darling. You're a thousand times- no a billion times more beautiful than what I could draw today" he said as he held your face in his palms caressing your cheeks lightly, love clear in his eyes

1. What is your favourite food/beverage?

fav food: garlic bread!!!!! and omg especially the dominos garlic bread pizza, that is pheNOMINAL, and then fav beverage: grape juice! i am that person who pretends im drinking blood whenever i have it

2. What is your favourite fandom [currently]?  

the buffy fandom! im shocked at how much of a thriving fandom there is after so many years but im so glad there is one, everyones so smart and amazing (atleast who im following) and it just makes me so happy to see how many people are enjoying it to this day!!!! buffy is that show!!!!!

3. What shows are you watching [currently]?  

rwby!!!!!!! for elmer <3 and lowkey im loving it, and then i suppose its not a show show but im always in the process of rewatching exandria unlimited

4. What’s your strength?  

im a good bullshit sniffer!

5. What’s your weakness?  

just. so many things.

6. Pet peeves?  

ever since i was a kid i get second hand embarrassment whenever the audience starts clapping along to a performance, and esPECIALLY when they start clapping out of time and they throw it all off

someone who puts in the effort and makes me feel seen and loved Q_Q being able to talk about nerdy shit is always a plus aswell but its not a must

oh shit this just reminded me that i brought two chocolate mousses upstairs to eat coz theyre going out of date soon and i forgot about them and showered KAJHSDFJSKFA, ANYWAY, last food i ate was mcdonalds chicken nugget ^-^

SAILOR MOON!!!!!!! could scream for years about sailor moon, then yuri on ice!!! attack on titan, and i fully acknowledge all the terrible shit in it i am aware that i am the problem here im sorry, and also i havent watched all of it yet but im LOVING rwby so ill put that down too!

10. Regular pastimes/Hobbies?  

playing sims, drawing, rn ive been writing fanfic a lot, and also playing skyrim!!!

*robbie daymond voice* dOrian stOrm (my beloved) from exandria unlimited, giles from buffy Q_Q (my DAD), howl from howls moving castle (gender anyone?), and daphne from scooby doo! my wife :D

12. All-time favourite show?  

last year i wouldve said shadowhunters but buffy may have surpassed it! its everything i liked from shadowhunters but so much better, actual good writing and less annoying characters, and also lesbians??? AMAZING, both buffy and sailor moon have really shocked me with the amount of gay (specifically lesbian) rep they have in them!!! both 90s shows and theyre doing better than gay media today (shadowhunters also has amazing gay rep!!!!)

13. What are you doing right now?

trying to drink my way through about 5 cans of cider so i can throw the cans out before my parents find them ://///

a bit stressed innit, unis coming up and suddenly its feeling very real and scary, and also my body doesnt agree with alcohol so while i wouldnt say i feel nauseous, i dont feel gOOD

-i go by she/they and i’m 18. I’m a cancer sun, cap moon and leo rising and an entp 7w8! I think of myself as a “selective extrovert”, since my mood and attitude usually depends on the people i’m with and how much I like and trust them!

- usually people get the wrong impression when they first meet me, a lot of people said I am intimidating and look a little scary, but I was shocked when I found out, since I try to be usually nice. I also am quite mean and straightforward , mostly with people I don’t like (ig that’s why lmao). With my friends I am very protective and I do anything to make them smile and laugh, and generally I see them as family. I like to debate things and argue mostly with people that are stuck in their ways, but I always end up with a headache bc i’m stubborn and they don’t listen. I also can say I am intelligent, but lazy (I also hate when people call me stupid, it makes my blood boil)

- i dress up either in a light academia aesthetic or like i am wearing pyjamas no in between :)
